Strengths: Most overclockable and stable proc I've ever owned. 3.6ghz w/out a single prob. I could prolly go higher. Idle @ 45
Weaknesses: None so far. See below
Summary: Some say "socket 775 mobos are buggy". I'm using an eVGA NForce 680 SLI and have experienced nothing but ease and stability. First Intel based system and the fastest/most stable system I've ever built.

Strengths: Incredible speed, amazing multi-tasking, makes Vista fly, great gaming processor, apparently very over-clocking friendly
Weaknesses: If only we could all afford Core 2 Extremes...
Summary: Out of the box this processor is, in one word, flawless. Intel is the crowned champion of processor engineering. After moving from an Athlon64 3000+ with 2GB of PC3200 DDR RAM to this processor with 2GB of PC6400 DDR2 RAM, I'm completely spoiled. Imagine with me, running 2 different programs converting WMA and M4A files into MP3s at the same time with very little performance drop, while ripping CD's to MP3s in another program and torrenting the crap outta some more MP3's. Having the RAM helps, but the Core 2 Duo has yet to have a single hiccup. I sincerely recommend the E6600 for any kind of computing you need to do, considering it is the best Speed vs. Budget solution out there.

Strengths: Overclockable, fast, low power consumption. Quiet HSF.
Weaknesses: Not as overclockable as engineering samples shown in tech websites.
Summary: I got this because it was the least expensive of the core 2 duos with twice the cache as the E6300 or E6400. I was lucky to find it in stock about a month ago (though it shouldn't be difficult to find now). The reviews I read on Anand tech lead me to believe that I would be able to overclock it to about 3.4GHz; however, the best I was able to do (with a good overclocking M/B) was 3GHz. I suppose I shouldn't complain with a 25% overclock... Overall I would recommend this product (though perhaps a better heatsink/fan would allow better overclocking).

Strengths: 4MB cache and lightening-fast dual core processor
Weaknesses: None
Summary: This is a very fast processor. It compliments the new ASUS P5B Wi-Fi Deluxe motherboard that I bought for it. No installation problems. I am very happy with it.

Strengths: Best value of the Core 2 Duo E series, 4mb L2 cache and a 2.40 ghz operating frequency
Weaknesses: Runs quite hot with the stock Heatsink/fan, idles in the mid-50s (Celsius) and when playing a game, America's Army for example, it jumps to high 60s.
Summary: Overall, I can't complain about this processor, it is faster than anything that I have ever owned, and it will do whatever I want it to. It can be overclocked a little bit, however, I would recommend extra fans and a 3rd party heatsink if you want to go all out on the OCing. However, it really isnt even necessary to OC, as this thing'll be able to crush anything you throw at it (if you have the pieces in place to help it out of course, i.e. good mem and gpu)

Strengths: Powerful, fast, efficient, decent O/C abilities, great value when you compare it to the competition.
Weaknesses: Runs hotter than I'd like.
Summary: This thing is blazin' fast. It's fun to have the top-of-the-line new products for one time in my life. The only thing better than this is the Core 2 Extreme and the other Duo that's clocked faster but for a couple hundred extra bucks (not worth it). This processor is the absolute best price/performance ratio out there. With stock processor heatsink/fan and my several case fans, it idles around 36 C. I overclocked it to 3 GHZ and it idled around 42, getting up near 60 with a constant full load. Not terrible, but I'm hoping it will be better down the line when I replace the CPU fan. But wow, Intel is back.

Strengths: Runs very fast, all programs seem to be executing alot faster then my old Pentium 4. System is very stable, no freezes or hang ups. Not to mention it runs cool around 35-40C idle.
Weaknesses: None so far, only thing is the high price because of the low supply and high demand, but the prices seems to have gone done a lot since August.
Summary: The processor was great installed quickly, and I was able to overclock from 2.4GHz to 3.0Ghz, at stock settings, without the need to increase any voltages. Just increased the FSB from 266MHz to 333Mhz and thats all. It is well capable of going faster, but I just haven't got to it yet. It is running fine for me at 3.0Ghz.

Strengths: Faster than anything AMD, dual-core, 64-bit, SSSE3 capabilities, runs at 800mhz DDR2, awesome benchmarks
Weaknesses: A bit pricey (but it's worth it)
Summary: I had this E6600 for about 2 months now, and all I can say is this thing is great! Farcry runs at max settings as smooth as butter. The dual-core capabilities are also very nice - especially with multi-threaded applications. Sadly there isn't too many games right now using multi-threading, but that's going to increase in the future for sure. This kicks AMDs FX-60 better than anything else and at a better price too. Way to go Intel - the Empire Strikes Back!

Strengths: Dual Core, 4MB Cache, great for overclocking.
Weaknesses: None So Far.
Summary: This is a great Core 2 Duo processor in the market today. Excellent for overclocking. There are lot of good reviews for this processor. Very Stable and runs cool. I was able to to overclick my 2.40 Ghz Core 2 Duo process to 3.69 without any problems and it is running stable at 48 degree Celcius without any problems. Installation was pretty simple and easy. Discard the supplied heat sink and fan and install a Zalman CPU Cooler to get best results.

Strengths: Excellent to Overclock
Weaknesses: None
Summary: This is a beast of infinite propotions. I am at present running it at 1386 FSB and getting it up to 3.117 Mhz. Look as if it would reach 3.4 easy. It is consistent and very stable at this range. I am running it on a Asus P5WS workstation, and a pair of Corsair twin 256 (1GB0) 5400UL Memory. Unbelievable.

Strengths: This processor does not get hot and it is very fast. Handles multi-tasking well.
Weaknesses: Heat sink seemed a little flimsy when trying to attach it, but once attached it was fine.
Summary: Have only been using it for a few days, but I love it so far. Have used mostly for multi-media and it handles multiple tasks well. Haven't tried any games but I am looking forward to it. Can't wait until Vista comes out to take advantage of 64 bit technology and both processors. It will be screaming!

Strengths: 1066 mhz fsb, 4mb L2 cache, SPEED
Weaknesses: Zero
Summary: I was reading much about this processor, the Core 2 Duo, the new generation dual core, I had an original dual core, a 3ghz. This one just blows it away, completly. The 2.4ghz is obviously the price point one of the core 2 processors, which is why a lot of places are sold out. Luckily i found one for a good price at pc all star shop. But hey, if money isn't an option, why not go for the 2.9ghz extreme edition, why not?

Strengths: Speed, low voltage, relatively low heat, a release MSRP that should make any consumer giddy.
Weaknesses: Now that retailer are able to hold this in inventory, none so far. (Maybe that the buyer needs to beware that the Socket 775 boards that support this chip are still quite buggy).
Summary: I have just started using this processor after making the difficult decision to buy it. (I have been avoiding Intel products for a while, the last P4 800-series chip I bought having been the straw that broke the camel's back). But Intel has taken a big leap forward in creating this line of chips and selling them at the prices they are. Side by side, this proc in almost every way beats the AMD X2 4800+ (S939) machine next to it (with that processor OC'd to just over 2.7GHz). Really, the only thing I can say in defense ofthe X2 is that I did get it for under $300 because of the price war started by the Conroe release. I'm really hoping that AMD answers back with an equal jump in technology, but in the mean time my mind has been changed that Intel is no longer surviving by signing exclusive contracts with the likes of Dell, but is again creating products that have strong merit on their own terms.

Strengths: Very fast, running relatively cool, 4MB cache
Weaknesses: little bit pricey, locked multiplier
Summary: Great CPU for new upgrades, very fast, can be overclocked for even more speed with the right motherboard. Unfortunately multiplier is locked so overclocking only by increasing of bus speed. Retail version comes with Intel's cooler that a little noisy but still OK. The price is somehow steep so for tight budget it is not probably the good choice counting that E6300 can be overclocked easily to 2.4 GHz and 4 MB cache doesn't make a big difference.
